Enabling developers on a standards-based platform is key for quick and successful deployment. SOAFEE is an industry lead initiative leveraging standard APIs to produce a practical software stack. In addition to providing compute capabilities at the edge, SOAFEE enables cloud development allowing seamless deployment. The software is hosted on a 32 core Arm Neoverse N1 based platform and used Autoware as an example workload.
Safe Digital Signal Controller for EV
This demo is showing how to combine the ST MCU SR5E1 with the SW ecosystem to achieve the highest levels of safety and security. The development environment is using the intrinsic robustness of the Rust programming language to achieve the highest level of safety and security. OxidOS is a RealTime OS developed on Rust but able to link legacy C-based applications and to offer isolated sandboxes for high safety and security. Stellar E1 is developed for OBC and DCDC applications. It will be further developed to address high end Traction Inverter applications.
STM32H5 and Security Journey demosAt Embedded World 2023 in Nurnberg ST will be demonstrating its new set of security offers linked around the new STM32H5 and ST’s security solutions can simplify the developer’s security journey to secure its applications and fasten time to market. From hardware IP based on PSA Certified principles, to full security services compatible with the Trusted Firmware for Arm Cortex-M and PSA Certified APIs, to be certified and maintained by ST, the developer can choose strategies depending on its security knowhow and time pressure. With in-ST-factory provisioned identities and using the PSA Certified Attestation API it will be shown how seamless it enables an object to register to a cloud or server and/or further manage device credential remote provisioning
services. Cherry on the cake, the solution, closely linked to STM32Cube ecosystem and ST’s root of trust, allows an isolation level 3 and enable multi-tenant IP protection. The combined solution will be certified at PSA Certified Level 3 within coming months.vECU IntegrationThe demo is built on Stellar Integration MCU SR6G7 and Open Synergy hypervisor. The demo shows how Stellar Integration MCU allows the support real-time virtualization of Multi-ASIL virtual machines. It is possible to run multiple Virtual machines guaranteeing freedom-from-interference and to define and guarantee quality of services for the different virtual machines.
STM32WBA secures critical applications
At Embedded World 2023 in Nurnberg ST will be demonstrating the STM32WBA52. STMicroelectronics’ STM32WBA52 microcontrollers (MCUs) combine Bluetooth® LE 5.3 connectivity with ultra-low-power modes, advanced security, and a broad selection of peripherals familiar to STM32 developers. The device includes an Arm Cortex-M33 with an Arm TrustZone architecture and a demonstration will be shown to protect digital access keys thanks to the Trusted Firmware for Arm Cortex-M (TF-M) capable to isolate sensible data and run side channel protected cryptographic algorithms using hardware accelerators. The STM32WBA52 and its full software offer based on TF-M are planned to be certified at PSA Certified Level 3 in coming months.
